RRC & Sustainable Development

Respect, Responsibility and Cooperation connect school life with the wider world.

In brief

RRC stands for Respect, Responsibility and Cooperation. Springfields connects these values with conscious discipline and relates lessons and activities to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Values that guide everyday choices

Respect, Responsibility and Cooperation connect the way we learn with the way we treat one another.

Conscious discipline

At Springfields, our approach to conscious discipline encourages children to understand their choices and develop values from within. RRC brings together respect for self and others, responsibility for actions and behaviour, and cooperation towards a shared goal.

These values give children a language for relationships, thoughtful decisions and participation in the school community.

Small choices. Lasting habits.

Respect

Listen to another person’s view, use thoughtful words and care for shared spaces. These are suggested everyday ways to practise respect.

Responsibility

Reflect on a choice, recognise its effect and decide what to do next. Taking ownership helps turn a mistake into an opportunity to learn.

Cooperation

Share responsibilities, contribute ideas and work towards a goal together. Every member of a group has something to offer.

Learning for a sustainable future

The United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals provide a framework for thinking about a more sustainable future. Springfields describes connecting these goals with lessons and activities so children can consider how their choices affect the wider world.

Ask your child’s teacher about current projects and how families can take part. Project dates, activities and participating classes are confirmed by the branch.
